Contributors Summer 1 2 3 1) When “parfumista” Jessica Dunne moved to Chicago three years ago, a mutual friend introduced her to writer Barri Leiner Grant (also an East Coast transplant) and Grant has been a fan ever since. “I’ve been smitten with Jessica’s entrepreneurial spirit and “It-girl” style since the day we met, so it was a real treat to see inside her world,” says Grant of this month’s In-House Design story “Scents & Sensibility.” Grant is the co-author of Jersey Girls: e Fierce & e Fabulous and penned Home Rules with Nate Berkus. When she’s not “on the keys” Grant is a stylist and co-owner of M&B Vintage. She lives in Lakeview with her husband Alex, daughters Emma and Quinn and Maltese Rocco. Grant also wrote the Interior Monologue and In-House Hospitality columns for this issue. 2) For this issue of CS Interiors, photographer Eric Hausman shot the In-House People story on Skidmore, Owings & Merrill’s associate director and Chicago o ce interior design studio head Nada Andric. A native Chicagoan, Hausman has been shooting assignments for decades— ranging from commercial advertising to corporate marketing to editorial assignments. An avid outdoorsman, he and his wife, along with their two French Brittanys, share in adventures wandering about in a V W camper. 3) Mike Schwartz is a Chicago-based architecture and interiors photographer who shot In-House Design “Repurposed Life” for this issue of CS Interiors. He loves to travel, especially when it’s to photograph new places or spaces. Admittedly the best part of his job is collaborating with creative professionals, but he also loves the chance to explore the city and discover new and interesting places. When he’s not working, Schwartz can be found eating out or playing hockey. 4) Freelance writer Margaret Sutherlin is a recent Chicago transplant by way of her hometown, Indianapolis. As a writer, she has been published in CS , Men’s Book and CS Interiors , as well as Design Bureau magazine. For this issue, Sutherlin wrote In-House Books “Small Spaces, Big Sensation” and In-House Biz “Behind the Lines,” among others. Sutherlin is a graduate student at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism, and when she isn’t running to class or writing her next article, she is checking out Chicago’s many cultural o erings and enjoying her rst summer on the lakefront. 4 24 | | Summer 2012
