DIEM OPENING NIGHT PARTY November 12, 2015 Roche Bobois In partnership with the West Hollywood Design District and Angeleno , Roche Bobois celebrated the kick-off event for the 4th annual DIEM: Talks Design (Design Intersects Everything Made) design symposium. Harnessing the evening’s theme, “The Future is Now,” Roche Bobois collaborated with The Art of Elysium and artist muse to enlist local L.A. artist Aaron Axelrod to curate an interactive live two-hour performance art piece in the West Hollywood Roche Bobois showroom. Axelrod, known for his large-scale art pieces, dazzled the 300 guests as he showcased his mixed-media artistic talents across a custom-built blank 8x20 canvas and two Roche Bobois Badiane Armchairs. The custom Aaron Axelrod X Roche Bobois pieces will be available for auction through The Art of Elysium. Guests enjoyed breakfast provided by Coté Jardin Antiques before sitting down to hear Step Up Luminary Circle member Dawn McCoy moderate the discussion with Bryant, who shared her experience of learning to appreciate fashion and style as a young girl from her grandmother to becoming the industry-leading expert now working on Eva Longoria’s NBC show Telenovela . Guests then had the opportunity to ask questions during the Q&A, and Bryant shared candid insights. The morning brought together members of Step Up in hopes of inspiring their continued support of the nonprofit, which propels teen girls from L.A.’s under-resourced neighborhoods to fulfill their potential.
