home base All Abode You Dave rezenDes PhotograPhy Interior design diva Cathy Lee has opened a luxury consignment store, carrying a wide variety of Asian, contemporary and traditional home furnishings. “Customers know we screen everything for quality and good value, so people with discerning taste come to us for that piece that will set their room apart,” says Lee, who also sells collectibles and home accessories at her recently opened Cathy’s Marketplace in Honolulu. Conversation-piece finds like reclaimed teak shelving, industrial steel barstools and antique Chinese dining sets can range anywhere from $200 to $20,000. The designer furniture is also available at the store’s website, but Lee says now “instead of running to five different places around the island, people can see everything selected for display in one place.” 110 University Ave., Honolulu, 738.8488, cathysmarketplace.com Curator and collector, Cathy Lee gathers one-of-a-kind pieces for her clients who come to her looking for everything from the traditional to the über-contemporary.
