After a six-year courtship, Chris proposed during a sail on Lake Michigan. THE DETails An event planner who owns her own biz called So Dressed Up, the bride obsessed over the details. Her grandmother made more than 400 feet of doily garland to decorate the ceremony space. THE parTy For her Beatles-loving groom, Katie walked down the aisle to “Here Comes the Sun” played by a harpist. The couple asked guests to join them on the museum’s Uihlein Plaza for a candlelit first dance to Chicago’s “Just You ’N’ Me.” –CG Mr. Christopher Baldwin and Mrs. Katie Jackson-Meara. They saw each other for the first time that day in the courtyard at the Elysian hotel. Her earrings were a “something borrowed” originally owned by her grandmother. Programs by Branded by Love introduced the wedding party. Take-home treats for guests made by the bride and her mom The wedding cake by Sarah’s Pastries & Candies featured a custom topper (meant to match the bride and groom’s attire) from Concarta, an Etsy shop.
