Sweet treats are in abundance on the lower level of Shirokiya, with vendors selling everything from Japanese pastries to made-to-order taiyaki, teeming with sweet potato and other luscious fi llings. Yataimura in Shirokiya, Level 3. Irasshaimase! This Asian food court, modeled after Japan’s bustling street-food stands, features ramen, yakitori, tonkatsu, takoyaki, sushi and lots of other quick bites. It is a popular destination at all hours of the day. The Mermaid Bar at Neiman Marcus, Level 2. This is a fun eatery with menu options like the house smoked-salmon Greek salad, a warm roast beef sandwich and the signature turkey chili. Along with espresso drinks, fresh juices and teas, there’s also a selection of wine and beer. Sears food court, Level 1. Grab a bento to go, a cup of joe and donut, or enjoy a steaming bowl of pho. Take a sweet break at this hip desserterie, specializing in locally made gelato and sorbets. A must-try is the acai sorbetto bowl, topped with fresh fruits and granola.
