(Best friends, indeed.) Using Jessica’s favorite rings as inspiration, Shawn surprised her with a dream ring he designed with her father, a jewelry designer in San Francisco. The VeNue Nestled in the majestic Sierras and surrounded by the lush golf course of Whitehawk Ranch, Jessica’s family property was the perfect marriage of Jessica’s California upbringing and Shawn’s Iowa farm roots. The DeTaIls Japanese snowdrops and climbing hydrangea decorated the setting and were replanted on the grounds after the wedding. Te reception was dressed up with manzanita trees dripping in crystal and a Raj-lined tent with gold stars. The PaRTY After a dinner of Kobe beef and lobster, guests danced the night away. — MW Previously a professional ballet dancer, Jessica took cues from her husband during the first dance. “I forgot the steps,” she laughs. “Of course no one noticed, but it was just one of those moments between the two of us.” Shawn and Jessica’s father designed her ring.
