scene Chicago Weddings K at i e S a c K & J a c K c o lt S ep te m b e r 4 , 20 1 1 The James Hotel THE CouplE An educator from Wilmette (Katie) and a “brewmeister” from Lincoln Park (Jack) met through friends and got engaged at the North Center bar The Bad Apple. “OK, so I think you need to marry me now,” said Jack, placing a ring in front of Katie. THE DETAils Jack gifted his groomsmen Tiffany & Co. beer mugs on the big day while Katie arranged for a photo shoot with her girlfriends from Belmont University in Nashville. And instead of wedding presents, the couple asked for donations to PAWS. THE pArTy The ceremony and reception were both held in the hotel’s Great Room. A DJ from Toast & Jam kept the party groovin’. –AD Mr. Jack and Mrs. Katie Colt. Frank J. Andonoplas, MBC, of Frank Event Design planned the couple’s wedding at The James Hotel. The bride looked lovely in an Anne Barge dress from Belle Vie Bridal Couture. Place cards designed by Frank Event Design Alyssa Hendrix, a bridesmaid and pastry chef, made the wedding cake. Its design was inspired by the architectural lines on Katie’s dress. Anna Held Florist created the bright bouquets.
