Every December, Art Basel in Miami Beach is the grand finale to the year in art. But what will stand out next year? Marc Spiegler, Global Director of Art Basel, and Noah Horowitz, Director Americas, tell us what they’re most looking forward to in 2018. “Looking ahead, I am most excited about the Sharjah Biennial curated by Zoe Butt, Omar Kholeif and Claire Tancons, opening March 2019. In addition, I can’t wait to see what the upcoming New Museum Triennial, curated next year by Gary Carrion-Murayari and Alex Gartenfeld, of the ICA Miami, has in store.” –Noah Horowitz, Director Americas, Art Basel “I am very excited about the Art Basel Cities Week in Buenos Aires next year, when we will launch our public arts programming there. The week will run from September 11 until 16 and will be directed by Cecilia Alemani, director and chief curator of High Line Art in New York and the curator of the fantastic Italian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale this year. Cecilia will work closely with artists and institutions from the region on a very special program for September, which will be a great moment to visit and dive into Buenos Aires’s cultural scene.” –Marc Spiegler, Global Director, Art Basel
